Abstract

Beton memiliki ketahanan terhadap kebakaran yang cukup tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan material konstruksi lain. Walaupun demikian, perilaku beton terhadap bahaya kebakaran masih terus tetap di pelajari karena reaksi fisik dan kimia pasti terjadi bila beton dipanaskan yang mengakibatkan kekuatan dan kekakuannya menurun. Sifat mekanik seperti kuat tekan, kuat tarik, dan kuat lentur beton pasca bakar telah banyak diteliti. Demikin pula perubahan warna pada permukaan beton pasca bakar telah menjadi suatu pedoman umum dalam investigasi konstruksi beton setelah mengalami kebakaran. Penelitian ini mencoba mengangkat tentang kadar kebasaan beton pasca bakar mengingat sifat basa beton memiliki arti penting dalam menjaga baja tulangan agar tidak terjadi korosi.pH meter digunakan untuk mendeteksi pH beton pasca bakar pada suhu 3000C, 5000C, dan 7000C. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis, didapatkan onset temperatur peralihan kondisi asam ke basa beton pasca bakar yaitu pada suhu 6600C. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan salah satu acuan dalam investigasi, audit, dan perbaikan struktur beton bertulang pasca bakar.
